How are you able to specify a field to the vision API? I'm assuming the form is an image and the coordinates are pixels coordinates?

    Thanks in advance!

Note: the recognized text method with mode set to "Handwritten" will still read the printed text, so will the "Printed" mode, just with different accuracy.

The python version of the "extract handwritten text" draws the bounding boxes on the image and overlays the new text. It might be relevant to what your looking for.
