    This unfortunately is intentional. For the v1.0 API, we had the uppercase W, but it was accidentally changed in v2.0. The keep from breaking older clients, we now serialize both, but the values will be identical.

    The API does not do inherently anything different based on the language/culture, so I believe this is better left to the client application. The strings are really labels, and in languages like JavaScript or C#, they typically become names of fields when they are deserialized from JSON. Localizing the labels will make the code no longer language-neutral.
