  1. Allow display of images

    Currently only text and URLs are supported. If the FAQ site has images, display those images from their own location if possible or allow upload/embed of images

  2. API to provide Chat logs

    Currently there is no API method to retrieve chat logs. Providing access to chat logs via API will enable us to get the top questions which are asked.

  3. For a given question, show multiple answers (related answers)

    For a given question, I'd like to give the primary answer, and then supply one or more followup answers. I don't want to put the additional answers in the primary answer, because those answers will also be used for other questions, and I don't want to duplicate questions.

    For example:
    Q. Where do I log my time?
    A. You can find the timesheet application here: http://xyz

    Q. Where do I get support for the timesheet application?
    A. For trouble with timekeeping, send an email to helpdesk@xyz

    If someone asks the first question, I'd like to supply both answers. For example:

  4. API to view QnA pairs which have been added via Active Learning

    When a new pair is created via Active Learning there is no easy way to view it.

    There should be an easier way to validate and approve new pairs other than the standard [Publish] -> [View Diff] approach, whether it is via an API call or a separate "Active Learning/Train API" source within the Knowledge Base.

    Currently a new pair is added beneath the question it is based upon, which becomes problematic when working with large knowledge bases with many changes being applied both manually and through Active Learning.

  5. Option to categorize the Q&A

    There should be an option to categorize the Q&A. Currently it is interactive based on users input, but when we extend to different departments/LOBs same question could trigger different responses.

  6. Add writeable/readable metadata JSON field for storing additional information (categories, tags, hints, notes, etc).

    Add an attribute to questions and answers where users could store metadata. This could be a JSON field that is writable/readable via API and would enable users to build custom functionality on top of QnA Maker.

    Examples include:
    - categorizing or tagging questions and answers
    - adding alternate versions of the questions and answer (for instance, a short version to show over SMS)
    - storing IDs or attributes from other systems
    - attach image urls or other useful meta data
    - and so much more!

  8. Need a way to customize look and feel of the QnA chat widget

    Right now, the QnA chat box can only be embedded as an iframe, AFAIK. Would be great to

    1). Be able to make it a chat overlay widget that stays persistent to scrolling at, say, the bottom right portion of the screen (like Intercom.io or Olark)

    2) Also would be nice to be able to style and/or customize the appearance of the chatbox. Mine just says, "Chat" at the top. Would be nice to be able to change this message to a more welcoming message and to change colors, fonts, etc.

  9. ability to search KB

    It would be nice if there were some way to search the items in the KB so I can update them selectively without hunting through the whole set for relevant items.

  10. Make the "No match" handling extendable/overridable

    We want to embed the Q&A maker in our programmed conversation flow. In order to obtain the flexibility we need, we would like to be able to extend/override the "No match" handling. We want the behavior to depend on the state of our conversation.

  11. QnA Maker should understand Language Semantically

    it should have a dictionary of English words and their linkages as a knowledge base which can be enabled or disabled by the client. This would remove the requirement of adding multiple utterances for the same question.

  13. Give option in Training API to allow setting correct answer in one API call

    Give an option in the Training API to set the correct answer for a Question at one shot so that a developer can set the right answer programmatically

  14. Having an option to add synonyms in QnA maker would be helpful

    If synonyms can be configurable, it would help to interpret domain specific keywords in a better way.

  15. Allow to define a few (canned answers) that can be used for "match not found"

    Obviously, there will be cases of Match not Found. But, to make the conversation more natural, it might be easier for the QnA to allow the mapping of Match not found to a selection (randomly issued perhaps?) of answers that the one defining the rules can specify (we can have a default whatever):
    1. I'm sorry I did not get that. Can you please rephrase your question?
    2. I apologize, but I do not understand "<echo the actual input>".
    3. etc...
    all these can still be logged with a common tag or even with "match not found" for easy retraining…

  16. Answers that reference real time database.

    We would like some method of being able to return real time data by making API calls in the answer. This would allow us to provide customers with real time schedule information in a chat window.

    Allowing for the answer to be variable would open up a whole new world of possibilities with this product.

  18. Add API support for quick CRUD operations against QnA pairs

    In the v2.0 APIs you are limited to the single PATCH operation to update a Knowledgebase. I find that this API is slow and would like to see support for single QnA CRUD updates

  19. add an Editor role

    Since we IT people don't want to tweak content I want to give permissions to editors of content. They should be able to se the logs, train the bot, upload files (more then five of course) and add stuff.

  20. Ability to use Https as knowledge base source (i.e. would be ideal for Sharepoint sites)

    Ability to use https sources ,i.e. would be great if you can use SharePoint online sources. This along side this idea https://cognitive.uservoice.com/forums/578689-qna-maker/suggestions/18165322-restrict-access-to-authenticated-user would be ideal for any situation
