  1. add an Editor role

    Since we IT people don't want to tweak content I want to give permissions to editors of content. They should be able to se the logs, train the bot, upload files (more then five of course) and add stuff.

  2. API to provide Chat logs

    Currently there is no API method to retrieve chat logs. Providing access to chat logs via API will enable us to get the top questions which are asked.

  4. Make the "No match" handling extendable/overridable

    We want to embed the Q&A maker in our programmed conversation flow. In order to obtain the flexibility we need, we would like to be able to extend/override the "No match" handling. We want the behavior to depend on the state of our conversation.

  6. For a given question, show multiple answers (related answers)

    For a given question, I'd like to give the primary answer, and then supply one or more followup answers. I don't want to put the additional answers in the primary answer, because those answers will also be used for other questions, and I don't want to duplicate questions.

    For example:
    Q. Where do I log my time?
    A. You can find the timesheet application here: http://xyz

    Q. Where do I get support for the timesheet application?
    A. For trouble with timekeeping, send an email to helpdesk@xyz

    If someone asks the first question, I'd like to supply both answers. For example:

  7. Having an option to add synonyms in QnA maker would be helpful

    If synonyms can be configurable, it would help to interpret domain specific keywords in a better way.

  8. Need a way to customize look and feel of the QnA chat widget

    Right now, the QnA chat box can only be embedded as an iframe, AFAIK. Would be great to

    1). Be able to make it a chat overlay widget that stays persistent to scrolling at, say, the bottom right portion of the screen (like Intercom.io or Olark)

    2) Also would be nice to be able to style and/or customize the appearance of the chatbox. Mine just says, "Chat" at the top. Would be nice to be able to change this message to a more welcoming message and to change colors, fonts, etc.

  9. Option to categorize the Q&A

    There should be an option to categorize the Q&A. Currently it is interactive based on users input, but when we extend to different departments/LOBs same question could trigger different responses.

  10. Consider a GET method to list your KB IDs

    A GET that returns a list of KBs would be helpful.
    This will be whatever https://qnamaker.ai/api/PortalRestApi/GetKbList?userId=... does, but more REST-y.

  11. Allow to define a few (canned answers) that can be used for "match not found"

    Obviously, there will be cases of Match not Found. But, to make the conversation more natural, it might be easier for the QnA to allow the mapping of Match not found to a selection (randomly issued perhaps?) of answers that the one defining the rules can specify (we can have a default whatever):
    1. I'm sorry I did not get that. Can you please rephrase your question?
    2. I apologize, but I do not understand "<echo the actual input>".
    3. etc...
    all these can still be logged with a common tag or even with "match not found" for easy retraining…

  12. Allow knowledge base load from glossary format or better a user-defined QnA

    Aside from being able to load FAQ documents or http links to FAQ, other forms of popular format like Glossary should be supported. In fact, if we allow the format of the input file to be roughly formatted using simple regular expression which tokens of source file will be Q and which ones will be corresponding A, then KB loading will be faster.

    In particular example, Glossary type of load can be simply mapped to general questions involving definition/clarification:
    Dictionary/Glossary is a hash value

     &lt;term1&gt;&lt;user defined delimiter&gt;&lt;definition1&gt;
    

    .....<termN><user defined delimited><definition N>

    On loading, the engine can simply take term and…

    Currently only text and URLs are supported. If the FAQ site has images, display those images from their own location if possible or allow upload/embed of images

  14. Allow copy / paste from PDFs including \n oir \t characters

    today it is not possible to do copy / paste from PDF that includes manual \n (e.g. in bullets points too).
    \n cannot be trained. they had to be removed manually.

    allow \n and display them as new-line and not only as /n.
    allow new-line in the editor should automatically detected and \n created

  15. Split answer into paragraphs and learn content separately.

    Answer can be too long for chat-bot - try to guess paragrpah based on the question.
    sometimes the question from the user is refereing to a paragraph of the whole answer.
    try to guess based on the "content" of the sentece the meaning a short answer.

  16. Ability to use Https as knowledge base source (i.e. would be ideal for Sharepoint sites)

    Ability to use https sources ,i.e. would be great if you can use SharePoint online sources. This along side this idea https://cognitive.uservoice.com/forums/578689-qna-maker/suggestions/18165322-restrict-access-to-authenticated-user would be ideal for any situation

  17. Refresh HTTP sources

    It would be great if there were an optional action where we could "refresh"/"rescan" an HTTP route.

    This would allow the QnA to reflect up-to-date answers should the underlying source have changes.

    It would be appreciated if this could also be triggered via an API.

  18. Add API support for full PUT operation to replace all existing QnA pairs

    Currently there isn't a way to clear out all existing QnA pairs within a Knowledgebase. The PATCH interface is good, but if I just want to re-create the items in my current model then a full PUT would be required and I can then re-submit all items that should exist within the KB. Any items not in the PUT request would be deleted.

  19. Add API support for quick CRUD operations against QnA pairs

    In the v2.0 APIs you are limited to the single PATCH operation to update a Knowledgebase. I find that this API is slow and would like to see support for single QnA CRUD updates
