  2. Chinese Simplified to English sentence alignment

It would be great to have this for a project I am working on and evaluating Azure Translate for. The other way is supported. Is there an ETA on this or is it known that it will not be available for the foreseeable future?

  5. Real time sentimental analysis of speech

We have different types of services to do speech to text transformation and to do text sentimental analysis, can we have one service which provide us real time sentimental analysis of conversation? Services like this one are already provided by https://www.nexmo.com/use-cases/real-time-sentiment-analysis and its very useful for customer support scenario. Performance is a key factor here because once the customer is left we can't do much with results of sentimental analysis.

  7. 1008 - Too many binary messages.

    hi
in some case we are getting 1008 error code on websocket.

in the documentation (http://docs.microsofttranslator.com/speech-translate.html), there are some error codes, like 1001, 1011, but not 1008.

it seems for us that Azure closes the websocket connection, with this error code, in certain cases. the question is why this happens?

    thanks

Translator closes the websocket connection after a period of inactivity. You will want to silently recreate the websocket connection when you receive this error.

That is generally a good thing, because you won’t be charged for the time the connection is not open.

The docs could be better in documenting the techniques for keeping the connection alive and the associated messaging. I’ll see to making that happen.

  8. Language Detection

    Hi,

I am currently using Speech API to translate from one language to another language with python.

I am getting correct audio output with translated language of the given audio input, But is it necessary to provide from which language we have to translate ?

Do Microsoft speech APIs able to detect spoken language automatically ?

I have taken help of this API: https://github.com/MicrosoftTranslator/Python-Speech-Translate/blob/master/speech.py

  10. Send authorization token as a query parameter for web socket connection

In order for the speech translation to work you need to create a Web Socket connection to wss://dev.microsofttranslator.com/speech/translate and set an Authorization http header with the access token.

In a vanilla JavaScript WebSocket object you cannot set an Authorization header for the request. So would it be possible to add an Authorization query parameter to the URL and send the token that way? So something like:

    wss://dev.microsofttranslator.com/speech/translate?Authorization={accessToken}&from=en&to=sv&api-version=1.0

Or have I missed something blindingly obvious?
